Bhagavad Gita: Grammar and Sanyama

The Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutras are brought together in this weekend course to offer new awareness, depth and meaning to the relationship between the two works and a new dimension to the Sanyama practice. The importance of understanding the meaning of both Sanskrit texts through the study of grammar will be emphasized.

This weekend course will cover selected verses from the Bhagavad Gita, which relate directly to Sanyama practice, as well as relevant Sutras from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. The weekend will include instruction on memorization and application of verses, with full understanding of the meaning through study of the grammatical structure, to the Sanyama practice.

Prerequisite: Sanskrit Level I - No experience with Sanyama Practice is necessary.
